Is there any way to turn off the slide advance when you click your mouse
button on the slide. I have action buttons set up and would like that to be
the only form of navigation through the slide show. However, if i click away
from the action buttons the slides automatically advance by one, is there any
way to turn this off???

either
view > slide sorter
edit > select all
slideshow > slide transitions
un-tick "advance on mouse click" (for all your slides)

Or
Slideshow menu > set up show > set to "kiosk mode"

"Slide Show, "Set up Show", click the "Browsed at a KIOSK" option. However,
you must provide navigation buttons on ALL slides.
