Using hidden character style

Hi,

I'm using Word 2000.

I'm trying to make a few words in an rtf file hidden but don't see
anything in the styles' list box that suggests it is the hidden character
style. Which item in the list box should I look for, or is there a key
sequence I can use to indicate start and end of what I want hidden?

I also need to make some text double-underlined. Which list item should I
use?

For example, in the line, below, I want the string "File menu" (without
the quotes) to be double-underlined, and I want the string "menu_file"
(without the quotes) to be hidden:

File menumenu_file

Since I can't see, the previews in the Styles dialog don't help.
Keystrokes to indicate start / stop for double-underlining and start /
stop for hidden would be the easiest for me to work with.

Thanks,
Dan

Highlight the text you want hidden and use Ctrl+Shift+H
to mark it as hidden. Highlight the text you want double
underscored and use Ctrl+Shift+D.

Sara,

The two hotkeys did what I needed.

Thanks,
Dan
