Is there a way to use a bullet type symbol in a Word document without causing an outline type format? Specifically I am wanting to insert them into the address section of letterhead I have created.
i.e.: 1234 Maple Street <bullet> Suite 123 <bullet> Polly, C
Tel 555.555.5555 <bullet> Fax 555.555.5556

You can use the "Insert", "Symbol" path to insert a bullet. Just keep in
mind that if you choose a different Font, you need to change it back after
the bullet so you get the right text afterwards.

Marcia,
Cute name by the way... You should be able to use the Insert menu, insert Symbol. Pick the style you like, close the dialog box and it's done.

Hi "Marcia"

Insert -> Symbo

Do you mean an actual bullet as in out of a gun? Because I find it hard to
believe Insert Symbol doesn't have a little round dot (mine does, but I'm on
a Mac and alt-8 gives me a bullet, so I don't deal with Insert Symbol much).
Did you try different fonts?

Lots of information here, may help:

If you have to go the clip art route, you can turn it into AutoText or
AutoCorrect to prevent needing to reformat it every time.

Insert the image or set its layout to 'in-line'.You only have to change the
image once to the size you require, then save it as an autotext entry

How do I save the clip art as autotext? Yes, I have been making my clip
art images in line with text. Do you know if there is a way to get the
spacing equal on both sides? I have been trying to address this problem
from the layout tab, but have been unsuccessful thus far in getting truly
even spacing between text.

You can use tabs to set the spacing, though you will have to define the tabs
required for the paragraph style. The tabs themselves can be saved as part
of the autotext entry. As for saving autotext simply select everything you
want ie in this case the graphic and the two tabs and press ALT+F3. Give it
a suitable name. Insert by selecting from the menu or typing the name and
pressing F3.

Alt+0149 is a bullet symbol. Hold down the Alt key, type 0149 on the
num pad at the right side of the keyboard (don't use the number keys on
the top row of the keyboard), and release the Alt key. This symbol is
present in common Windows fonts (e.g., Times New Roman, Arial, Tahoma),
but may not work if you're using an unusual font downloaded from the
internet.
