Using BCM with SQL Standard Edition

Is there a way to make BCM us an already installed version of SQL server
during installation? I am running Windows Server 2003 on my computer and
also runnign SQL Server 2000 and 2005 on my computer. Can I configure BCM to
use one of these instance of SQL or direct it to use a remote SQL server
enterprise instance on another computer? If this is possible how?

It is possible, but not supported.

You can read many posts about successful installs, and even more about
the problems by searching through this newsgroup's archives.
