Hey, I need a little bit of help with Users, and this is the only place in which I could find a semi-suitable place

I was trying to configure an account for a friend, and when I created his account, it would not let me select "limited" for him. So I chose "computer administrator" and his account name was Rob. So to remedy the situation, I'd thought I would make him another account, and it worked as Limited (Roberto). So to delete the first account (Rob) I made, I went into my very account (Administrator) to delete Rob. It didn't work, so I went into Rob to see if I could change the account type of Rob. As soon as I went in there, my Administrator account was not there. Its not on the users group any more, but I can't make an account with the name "Administator" cause it says there already is one. So I went into the computer, I still have all my files that I wanted for the name Administrator, but I can't get it to show up on the User group on the control panel...

A little help?

You were using the built in Administrator account (bad idea for day to day use). The Administrator account is your back door in, if you ever can't log in on your profile.

XP Pro: press CTRL-ALT-DEL Twice at the Welcome Screen, with no users logged on. You'll get the old Win2K style logon. Enter Administrator and any password for that account. To enable the Administrator account on the new Windows XP logon screen, visit my web site, www.dougknox.com and go to the Windows XP section. Follow the link for Enable Administrator Account ...... This small VB Script will make the registry change necessary for the Administrator account to be available on the Welcome Screen.

XP Home: Boot the computer in Safe Mode (see Help and Support) and you'll see the Administrator on the Welcome Screen.
