Hi gruop,

I was searching Google and Google.groups for something like a tutorial
for my problem but didn't find anything useful...

For the presentation of a Website i would like to create an user account
on a PC running Windows XP Professional, that has no rights except of
logging out and using Internet Explorer.

The IE should start on login of that specific User. Best case would be,
if this account has even no rights to close the IE Wondow, so that it
always stays on top and cannot be closed.
The desktop should be empty and this specific user should not have
access to any of the Harddiskdrives or to the files on them (i think i
have to give access to the directory IE uses for temporary files, do I?)
This user should not have the right to shutdown the PC (restart would be
ok, if there is no other way to set the rights --> shutdown will be made
by Admin account)

Is it possible to create such an account and what do I have to modify to
set these restricted rights for this user?

thanks for answers

Tob

sounds like you want to do something like ie's kiosk mode. try searching
for how to use that and it should lead you to the other configuration info
for locked down web browser machines.

good hint. I'll "google" it. Thanks.
