User selects file through Windows explorer and path sets variable

Maybe I'm just overlooking something but I don't know why I'm having problems
with this. I'm trying to get the code to bring up a Windows explorer where
the user can browse through the available paths and the file the user
selects, sets the path/filename to a variable; then the explorer window can
be closed. The file doesn't have to be opened or anything because it will be
handled later but this would be a nice graphical selection versus the user
typing the entire path.
