I have a client who installed a third party driver for his IOMEGA zip drive to do a backup. The backup failed and XP wouldn't boot. Went in and replaced the c:\windows\system32\Config\System file from the Recovery Console
Now when I boot up I can get into Windows but cannot access any of his documents, getting Access Denied errors, or advises that the program is not installed for the current user. How do I fix this?????
 
Try shutdown,on starting tap the F8 key,open windows in ADM. capacity
then try accessing.You might also boot to xp cd,recovery,press enter key fo
password.A list of cmds enable you to locate/manipulate files/folders that migh
not be accessable in xp,go to search at microsoft,type:314058 All cmds are listed
