User Names and Passwords are not saved

I have a couple of salesman that are running Windows XP,
who have to log on to various resources from their
laptop. When they are prompted for a username and
password, they have the option of checking save user name
and password. They place a check in this field, but it
never saves their information.

From other identical machines the user name and password
are saved.

Is there a known fix to this? They want to be able to
save the user name and passwords (even if it isn't very
secure).

Thanks,

Outlook Express keeps prompting for your password - Repair

This fix also applies to Outlook, other programs that store passwords
in the Protected Storage System Provider sub-branch of the Registry.
It also corrects some issues with Internet Explorer and AutoComplete.
