Hello,

I have disable several of the user features in the windows Registry, and
would like to restore a few of the items, such as the control panel, the run
command etc. Is this something that is possible? Please advise

Well sure. Just reverse whatever you did!

Thanks for your reply,

However I removed the "run command" and I can't get to the registry to
reverse the objects.

Right-click on an empty area of your desktop and then choose 'New' >
'Shortcut' . Type as the target :

Regedit.exe

....and press 'Next', then choose a name and press 'Finnish' to close.

Ooops...

I locked that feature down "CTRL-ALT-DEL" and the option to "right clicking"
on the desktop

If you don't know how to get into the registry without using the run
command, maybe you are a little over your head at this point.

If you made changes in the registry, do you know how to undo the
change you made?

There are safer and less invasive ways to restrict access to advanced
tools like Control Panel, regedit, run, etc.

Log into the built-in Administrator account and make your changes. Or try
running System Restore to before you tinkered.

In XP Home, boot the computer into Safe Mode. Do this by repeatedly tapping
the F8 key as the computer is starting up. This will get you to the right
menu. Navigate using your Up arrow key; the mouse will not work here. Once
in Safe Mode, you will see the normally hidden Administrator account. The
default password is a blank.

In XP Pro, you do not need to go into Safe Mode. At the Welcome Screen, do
Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in
"Administrator" and whatever password you assigned when you set up Windows.

One could ask why you did a "Lockdown" in the first place ?
