All of the info of MY user ID is on the C drive under
Settings, but my actual ID at the startup is gone. How
can I reconnect an ID at the start with the information
(IE Favorites, Documents, etc.) which is still there?
Help would be most appreciated!

What was your original user ID? The original administrator account builtin
to XP? Did the account disappear after adding a new account? Or did Windows
say something about not being able to load your old account?

If you think that you were using the builtin Administrator account, press
Ctrl+Alt+Del twice at the welcome screen. The Win 2000 style log on will
appear. Type in the account name (Administrator if you did not change it).
Type in the password that you used with this account.

NOTE: You can use TweakUI to force this account to be displayed on the
welcome screen again. Normally this account is hidden as it is intended for
troubleshooting purposes rather than everyday use.

Alternatively: If you can see the files and folders for the old account in
Windows Explorer, you can regain access to them by taking ownership. Then
transfer them over to your new account.
