So here's the problem, I have an HP Pavillion PC and I was having issues with Internet Explorer so I reinstalled Windows using the Non-Destructive System Recovery, and when I restarted my computer all my login users were gone. When I went to the Documents and Settings folder, all the folders were still there, except the userI was using before (which was password-protected), the folder gives an "Access is Denied" error and won't let me enter. How can I access it? Thanks!

How to Take Ownership of a File or Folder in Windows XP

In XP Home you have to log in safe mode (F8)
In XP Pro you need to go to Windows Explorer > Folder options > view
tab check 'disable file sharing'

Good luck
