User control updates

Hello Newsgroupies,

Is there anyway to jut update a user control in webforms without
updating the entire parent page and other user controls? For instance
having a user control which displays the time and updates every second
without the whole page being refreshed or 'postbacked'.

Hi
You can manage something like that playing with the ViewState of the
control . basically you would be keeping the viewstate of the other
controls between postbacks
