Hi,
I have 2 questions concerning Windows XP Professional SP 2 behavior.
Since a couple of weeks, I have noticed that shutting down Windows XP takes
from 4 to 5 minutes. It is taking forever to close; especially when Windows
is at is “saving your settings†phase. I do not know if I can do something
about it.
I have taken a couple of actions: defrag, disabling useless startup
programs, scanning disk with anti-virus, but that did not make any
differences. Note: I have plenty of space on my hard drive.
My second question: I have found a strange folder in my system32 folder. The
folder in question is named <user>.bat. (User = login name). This folder
contains the exact same things that I have in <My Documents> folder on my
desktop. Does anybody know the purpose of that folder?
Thanks
