After logging into a domain, the user no longer has
administrator rights to his computer. How do I resolve
this? Thanks.

Hi Marie,

Add the user's domain account to the local administrators group. The
settings should take affect on the next login.

but if i can't select domain controler as the location for user groups? I can add only local users to that group (and yes, i'm connected to the domain (w2k3) on that local pc (XP Pro)). What should i do to be able to add global users or groups from domain?

thanx in advance.

Ignas,

You need to be able to view Domain objects before you can add them. You
mention that you are connected to the domain. It's not clear to me that you
are logged into the domain with a domain account. When you are at the logon
screen and press Ctrl-Alt-Del, do you see the drop-down menu that lists
Domains that are available for you to log onto? Can you confirm that you
have selected your domain when you log in? After this, when you get to the
dekstop, when you then press Ctrl-Alt-Del, does the logon Information list
your user as <Domain>\<user> or does it read differently... for example,
<computer name\<user name>?

Let me know.
