How many user accounts can a person put on a computer using Windows XP
professional. I want to do this so everything will work correctly. Currently
if I try to install Adobe on any user account it can't find the *.msi file
for the journal viewer. It keeps looking for it in a folder that does not
exist. Thanks

Hi

I've asked around the office on this one, and none of us remember ever hearing a limit to the number of
accounts you can have on an XP box...The only limit we recall is that of 10 concurrent connections to a
single box.

I have exactly the same situation:
I have one admin account, which was used to install XP with SP2, and to
install Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0.2.
I have two restricted user accounts which I use for normal working, e-mail
and internet browsing, to limit the damage which can be caused by an accident
or by any malware I pick up.

Acrobat reader works perfectly under the Admin account .
When I start Acrobat reader under any other account I get the pop-up
mentioned by Chuck, about trying to install Microsoft Journal Viewer.
I get this even if I temporarily grant admin privilege to my user accounts
(so it seems not to be an access privilege problem).
Incidentlally, the "can't install" pop-up goes into a loop which can be
ended only by using ctrl-alt-del and killing the application.
