I had an administrative account because I was the only user. I will now be
sharing my computer and have created a standard user account. How can I
transfer some of the programs on my account to the "standard user account"
i.e. Quickbooks etc.

He wants to share access to PROGRAMS not FILES.

No need to, all installed applications will be made available to accounts
created on the system.

Unless, during installation of an application, it asks if you want Start Menu
access to the program for your account only or all accounts. Which could be a
problem for accounts added later, no?

True, if so then the user needs to reinstall Quickbooks and ensure that the
option for the application to be available to all accounts is checked during
setup.

Or just manually move application Start Menu folder from the user Start Menu
folder to the all users Start Menu folder.

u have no idea how stupid u just made yourself sound. a file is a
program, document, or other object on your computer. it is not just a
document.

i already told the OP to do this. it is not the all users start menu
folder anymore it is called the "public" folder just fyi.

You have not idea just how absolutely STUPID and IGNORANT you ARE.

I was responding to Andre...

Just For Your Information...

Numbnuts!!!!

Just FYI

You have absolutely not a clue in the world as to what you are talking about, do
you IDIOT!

If you read the OP's post (ASSuming you can read), the OP asks how to share
PROGRAMS not files. And, by the way, very few PROGRAMS are single FILES.

You mean he should move all the shared PROGRAM installations and shortcuts to
the Public folder, or all the PROGRAM'S Start Menu items to the Public folder?

BUY a clue...SIMPLETON!

Just For Your Information, just FYI !

and yet again u make your self look dumb. i never said anything about a
SINGLE file as u so put it. for all i know the OP could want to share 50
programs with 50 "FILES"(notice programs are made of FILES). either way
they would have to move them to the PUBLIC FOLDER. and if i couldnt read
then would i have replied to your other posts (again you look dumb for
asking assuming something so stupid, how many ppl that cant read would
be using a newsgroup). and also i dont have the money to "BUY a clue...
SIMPLETON!" as u so put it.

yes and i was just letting u know that there is no longer an ALL USERS
folder on vista. no need to get angry about it. perhaps u should see a
professional about your anger issues. just a thought.

P.S. "You have not idea just how absolutely STUPID and IGNORANT you
ARE." in this sentence the "not" should be "no", just fyi

Regarding your latest self-indulgent embarrassing post:

Content: F -
Spelling: F - -
Grammar: F - - -
Originality: F - - - -
Punctuation: F - - - - -
Composition: F - - - - - -
Mature thoughts: Too low to rate
Intelligent thoughts: Also too low to rate

Take that dunce cap off your head,
put it on the floor,
sit on it,
and,
TWIRL!

BEG, BEG for just one, just ONE SINGLE clue,
then get lost,
FOOL!

Alright I'm not even going to keep this argument going just for the fact
that it is completely pointless. Obviously you didn't read my post
because I did not spell a single word wrong. As for grammar there is not
one grammar mistake in the whole post. You cannot even begin to grade my
post in Content, Originality, or Composition, because every single one
of your posts lacked all three of them also. As for the punctuation, you
must not be a native English speaker because there is nothing wrong with
my punctuation. As for addressing the mature content and intelligent
content of my post, you have no room to talk about either one, because
you are the one who started this argument, which shows your lack of
maturity, and also your lack of intelligence. It is obvious that you
think of yourself as a Microsoft Guru or something, which I find very
funny, because you probably aren't even Microsoft Certified. So if you
have any more thoughts about anybody else being stupid just keep them to
your self and stop wasting everyones time, and making so their IQ is
dropping with every word they read by you.

Pitiful and juvenile!

You is not spelled "u".

Capital letters, believe it or not, can be used for something other than
SHOUTING.

And the use of paragraphs is generally accepted as good composition.

This is a newsgroup and not an instant messaging medium.

Lecturing to your superiors is very, very bad manners.

You, dear child, are the one who first got their panties in a twist when I
correctly pointed out that the OP wanted to know about sharing applications not
files.

Is this English: "...making so their IQ is dropping with every word they read
by you."? (Translation please.)

I Bleed Blue and Gold
GO BEARS!

1) Yes I know that "you" is not spelled "u", but it is a faster way to
type it.
2) I did use capital letters if you didn't notice.
3) Why would I use paragraphs. It is pointless to use them in a
newsgroup, when all the people that use these and ask for help, for the
most part all they want is to have their questions answered as fast as
possible.
4) Yes I know this is a newsgroup and not an instant messaging service,
but what I would like to know it what your point is?
5) You my superior, ha ha, now that is funny. Also I do not lecture to
anybody.
6) I am not a child, and for the last time an application is a TYPE OF FILE!
7) "Is this English: '...making so their IQ is dropping with every word
they read
by you.'? (Translation please.)", Well considering that this is typed in
English then yes I would say that it is in English, or can you not grasp
simple English. Just to clarify what I meant by that I will rephrase it.

What i meant is that you are such an idiot, that every time an
intelligent person reads a post by you, their IQ drops significantly.

P.S. Being the fact that this argument is amusing me and keeping me
busy, I really would like to keep it going, but being the fact that you
are not too bright, I doubt that will be the case.

As an example of your logic:

Programs are made of of files.

The universe is made up of atoms.

Therefore, an imbecile, like you, is the same thing as a pile of shit.

And...?
