When 1 of the users tried to log on there was an error message that the
system was unable to load the personal settings or load the user account due
to corruption of incorrect security status? Is there any way to restore the
user email and profile?

Thank you. I just noticed now that I am unable to open and load personal
settings for any "limited account" users on my system?? To my knowledge, the
security settings, etc. have not changed on my system. The only change I
recently made was downloading the windows security updates.

Hello Kathy,

You might want to un-install each update at a time and determine which update might have caused this
issue.

You can find a very detailed article explaing how to recover data from a corrupt user profile in
Windows XP here:

I am trying to follow the 1st suggestion you made. I created new user accts
for each user and can find the old username folders to copy files from, but
the new user names do not show up in Windows explorer to paste to?

You must log into each new account once before you can copy anything to
it.
