I want my windows XP to start without stopping at the user account screen and
just go to the windows desktop. I disabled the users and now I can't get into
windows! There aren't any users to click on. I hit Ctrl-Alt-Del but they want
a password I don't have. HELP!

Go into Safe Mode by repeatedly tapping the F8 key as the computer is
starting up. Now you will see the normally hidden Administrator
account. Unless you changed the password, the default password is a
blank. If you don't see any icons for user accounts, press Ctrl+Alt+Del
twice. This will get you to the classic logon box where you can type
"Administrator". Again, the default password will be blank.

Once in, go to the User Accounts applet in Control Panel and enable the
accounts you disabled. If you want to automatically log into one
particular account's desktop see:

This is confusing as crap about XP. After you do all this, log on as the
administrator then delete all the accounts. Under CP, Users turn off fast
user switching and the other one that's there. Then it will reboot in the
administrator profile only.

It is only confusing if you don't understand XP. Getting rid of all
other user accounts except for the built-in Administrator account is a
very bad idea. It will leave no fail-safe account in case of emergency.

Bad advice. One should keep the built in Administrator account as a
fall back in case something happens to the other account(s). Have at
least one other account with admin level privileges and if desired a
limited account. Normal day to day activities are done in one of these
latter two accounts. The problem arose in this case because the OP
disabled all users to try to get the system to auto logon, however
that's not the right solution. The solution in fact is straight
forward.
