Frustrated

I recently (3 days ago) upgraded my Windows 98 to Windows
XP Home Edition. I only had one user account (which is
also the system administrator) with no password. It
worked fine until today. No when the system boots up, the
logo to enter XP by clicking on the user name is missing.
If I CTRL-ALT-DEL, it lists my user name but won't let me
logon either (saying it needs a password). I cannot get
access to the computer. I am locked out of my own
computer. I tried all the F8 suggestions, but every boot
up option takes me to this same screen that won't let me
logon and get access to my computer. And of course, I
cannot get access to my Product ID # required by Microsoft
to ask them a question. Please, can anybody help?

Hi

How to Log On to Windows XP If You Forget Your Password or Your Password

If that doesn't work out, you might try to reset the local Administrator
password with one of the methods mentioned here:
