After the domain user changed their password, the user
becomes periodically locked out of domain. They can
successfully log on to the domain. But periodically the
user becomes loked out of the domain. I have checked
services and nothing is tied to their NT account. Any
other ideas. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

I have noticed an issue like this in my network before.
It is usually the case of where the user is logged in
somewhere else as well as on their own machine.

The issue i had was where a user had a second machine
and/or a laptop and the user was logged onto that and it
was that that was causing the problem.

That would make sense but no the user is just signed onto
their desktop. Thanks

Shane,

We have been having the same problems. I found that if the client has
recently changed their password, (within a week) having them do a
Ctrl+Alt+Del and lock the workstation and then unlock the workstation
fixes them. I believe this has something to do with the local cached
credentials that exist on the workstation. We most commonly see this
when the client attempts to access a web page or an HTML email
message.
If this doesn't work, I have also found that the prompt to change your
password, ie. "Your password has expired, would you like to change
it?" doesn't update the local cached credentials and having the client
change their password using "Ctrl+Alt+Del and Change Password" fixes
the problem. Let me know if you experience the same behaviour.
