Hi,
I've a big problem on a domain computer (WinXP, w2k domain): often a user
account (user uses always the same workstation) is lock with no appearing
cause. I found some 'LsaSrv' (with Event IDs 40960 and 40961) errors in
System logs.
Thanks.

Does the Domain Group policy specify a lockout after a specified number of
unsuccessful login attempts? I would check this as the first reason. If
this is what's happenning, you may want to set a lockout duration of only a
few minutes so the user doesn't have to find an administrator every time they
lock themselves out.

Hi,
yes, it is true. Domain Group policy specifies a lockout after 5
unsuccessful login attempts, but he did not insert a wrong psw: the problem
is that his account is blocked during he was logged in and he was working on
it.
Thanks.

Some scheduled task attempting to run with an old password would cause
this to happen.

Hi Bob,
thanks for your answer but the problem is not resolved because there are no
applications that store psw (like scheduled task).
