Hello, I am new to Windows XP and have used 98 for years.
I recently installed XP and am the system administrator.
I would like to limit what my children have access to-ie
not be able to install programs, change setting etc...I
have set-up individual user accounts for them but they
still have access to control panel and others.
My question is-How do I set this up and control this?

Thanks

XP Pro or XP home?

If you have XP pro, you can use Group Policy. If you are
wanting to restrict them from the Internet in it's
entirety you can use the NTFS file system and change the
permissions for the iexplore.exe file.

Its XP Home. I don't want to limit their access totally
to the internet, but rather specific files, settings, and
other system changes.
Thanks
