use outlook to send Word doc as attachment

I use Outlook, not Outlook Express, for email. Yet when I send a doc from
within Word to a mail recipient as an attachment, the system uses Outlook
Express, not Outlook. How do I tell Word to use Outlook, not Outlook Express
to send a doc from within Word as an attachment to a mail recipient
