Hello-

I have two hard drives on my computer, which is currently
running Windows XP Home. One has all the Windows
installation information and some personal files (C:
drive), and the second hard drive (F:) only has personal
files (music, videos, etc). I want to do a clean install
of Windows XP Home on C:, and I was wondering if I can
put all of my personal files on my F: drive and then copy
whichever ones I want over to the C: drive after
installation. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You can do this. Just make sure you don't format your "F" drive when you do
your "C".

Yes.

My understanding is that you can do this. I just upgraded my motherboard, processor, etc. I am having problems and my friend who did the upgrade told me to reformat my c: drive and reinstall XP Home Edition also. But I don't have a startup disk for XP. I created one, but it doesn't put the tools on it with the format command. Do you know what I need to do to be able to format the drive so I can do a clean install?
