Use F numbers

I have access 2003 and I will like to allocated some funtions to the F
numbers at the top of the keyboard. Is this possible.

As an example
Can I insert today's date into a form text box by pressing F4
Can I make a control visible (or not) if I press F5
Etc.

I think I can code a button to do this but then the screen lots a little
messy, so I would like to keep the number of controls on the screen to a
minimum.

Create an AutoKeys macro, mapping the key to specific functions.

(don't worry that it only says Access 2000: it applies to all versions).

how to specify different keys.
