use a internal drive externally

i was wondering if there was a way that i could use a internal dvd
burnerdrive externally

if so please let me know
 
yes, buy a USB 2 or firewire drive enclosure (as long as you have a USB 2 or
firewire card in your pc. they are quite reasonable (£20- £40) from pc fairs

I had an older Compaq desktop with no spare drive bay. Bought a CDRW drive,
bought extra long data and power cables and brought them out a slot at the
back. Put four rubber stick on feet on it, set it on top of PC and it
worked perfectly for many years.
