I've got a 7 slot USB 2 hub, but can't get anything I plug into it to work
at USB 2.

What version of XP are you running?
Did you look under Device manager under USB controllers?? Does it say
"enhanced" anywhere in there??

Yes I have USB2 on all the slots on the PC.
Windows XP Professional
No, none say "enhanced" (nor in any of the properties)
Hub is about 6 mos old & I bought it before I had USB2. I remember asking if
it is backwards compatible with USB1

If none say "enhanced" you only have regular USB.........not version 2
Want to give us a little detail on your MOBO and what chipset drivers it

MS 6728/G52 Neo2 series. Intel 865PE/G chipset
Installed about 3 months ago. My USB2 peripherals (digicams etc) work fine
(at USB2) on any MOBO slots

Sorry - one of the USBs in device manager is Standard Enhanced.

I don't know (!) and am not sure how to find out.
But, Peter, I'm thinking of dropping this thread now, and geting a new hub,
just in case mine isn't usb2 after all (can't find any markings on it).
I'll do that first & see what happens.
