This may be a silly question but I was wondering why on a new Combo
Board I've added to my PC does it have 2 USB" ports on the inside as it
were, apart from the 2 facing outwards with the Firewire ports.

Many of the new cases (or even add-on's that fit where a drive
goes) have USB ports on the front with a cable/connector that
will connect to the "inside" connector on your board. If your
case does not have front mounted usb ports, you might look at
something like this:

There are all sorts of variations on that some for quite a bit less $$,
but that should give you an idea.

Thanks for the info Guys.

Internal light sounds neat but my PC case has got no apertures at front
to benefit from this.

I have a spare floppy drive bay under the "A" drive so it maybe I could
find a USB2 port bay to fit here which doesn't need a full printed
circuit card but basically just 3 or 4 USB2 ports running off my new
card's internal sockets.
