USB standard or 2.0?

Hello,
How can I find which kind of USB ports are install on my pc, I have a
external DVD Writer from HP and it should be connect to an USB 2.0 but
I dont know what kind of usb I get and zI can burn with my DVD and
cannot read a dvd to, he's lagging all the time.

Look in device manager and look for (very bottom) "Universal Serial Bus
Controllers" and expand it.
Any of them say "Enhanced"?
(Or USB 2.0)?

If not - then you don't have USB 2.0.
