I have setup my home network using a usb port, but I'm having a lot of
problems. Question, is using a usb port to network very unstable or is it
just that I'm not doing things right.

I would bet it depends upon what USB devices share that USB bus. USB works
great for low use devices - like mouse, keyboard, UPS, printer, scanner. Are
you connecting thru a hub? Try connecting directly. Disconnect other USB
devices and see if it stablises.

Make sure you have the latest version of the driver for your USB network too.

Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.

I'm using starband sat internet connection not on usb. Using usb just to
connect to client computer but can't get computers to see each other and
can't get internet on browser on client computer. But I can ping internet
and client computer and viceversa. no problem with ping.

Do you have any software firewalls (ICF or third party) on either computer?

Please post ipconfig information for each computer.
Start - Run - "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in
Notepad, copy and paste into your next post.
