Hi All

Every now and then when I boot the computer (approx 60% of the time) my USB
connected keyboard and mouse will not work.
I've yet to figure this one out. I have changed BIOS to enable USB
keyboard/Mouse, but yet I still get the intermittant problem. I even
connected a new keyboard/mouse and installed brand new drivers.
I even dug into the case and checked the connections.

Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this?

The USB keyboard and mouse settings in the BIOS make the mouse/keyboard work
before Windows has loaded.

When they aren't working check the System Tray (Notification Area) to see if
the USB device icon, which looks like a green tree growing out of a grey
base, is there. If it isn't there, there is something wrong with the way USB
has loaded.

You could try identifying the motherboard if you don't know its make and
model in order to visit the manufacturer's site for motherboard driver
updates, one of which is the USB driver. You can use the free CPU-Z to ID the
board, the download site for which can been found with a search engine such
as Google.
