On this PC, we have two hard drives installed. One is an old scuzzy drive
that used to run Windows NT. The other is a simple IDE Drive with XP
Installed. We only use the Scuzzy to pull data. On Windows XP, the USB Host
controller is not there. In the device manager there is no sign of existence
of anything USB. Anyone know of what I should do to enable USB again.

Are the USB ports, or the USB controller, built into the motherboard? If yes,
check the BIOS and enable the USB ports.

Sounds like the PC is old as well from your description. Be sure the cmos
battery isn't fluctuating. May be your cmos is defaulting to default
settings. Resetting the configuration data that's not appropriate for all
you hardware to work. Is the bios PNP compatible?
