Hi

MY PC is over 3 years old and many of my devices would function better if I
had above. How do I go about getting one compatible with my PC? Thx.

Walk into any well equipped computer store and purchase a PCI USB2 card.

Since many PCI devices require a specific minimum PCI spec be present on the
motherboard, that's difficult to say based on the information you've
provided to date.

And, deinstalling your current USB software and drivers, and possibly,
disabling your onboard USB may be needed first before installing the USB
hi-speed controller card.
