USB external drive

It's strange that my usb external drive
doesn't work well in USB2.0 mode.But I
knew it worked perfectly on my old computer
in USB1.1 mode.
I don't want to do uninstall the driver cuz
I still need to use some USB2.0 devices
sometimes.So does anyone know how to force
USB2.0 back to USB1.1?
