i just need xp pro USB driver ! were can i find them. thank you so
much.

Never get drivers from Windows Update. Get them from:

1. The device mftr.'s website; OR
2. The motherboard mftr.'s website if hardware is onboard; OR
3. The OEM's website for your specific machine if you have an OEM
computer (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

Read the installation instructions on the website where you get the
drivers.

To find out what hardware is in your computer:

1. Read any documentation you got when you bought the computer.
2. If the computer is OEM, go to the OEM's website for your specific
model machine and look at the specs (you'll be there to get the drivers
anyway)
3. Download, install and run a free system inventory program like Belarc
Advisor. The older Aida32 is good for this, too.

If my memory is correct, they became a part of XP with Service Pack 1. Do
you have Service Pack 1 and 2 installed? This would be normal USB drivers
not modified ones such as those furnished by some device manufacturers which
have to obtained frome the manufacturers site.

Which USB device drivers? USB 1.0 and 1.1 drivers are built into XP.
Starting with XP Sp1, USB 2.0 drivers are also built-in. Most USB flash
drives / hard drives all use the built-in drivers that Microsoft has supplied
with XP.

As for scanners, printers, networking and modems drivers, you need to check
the device manufacturer's web site since these are not normally a generic
universel driver.
