I have an MP3 that is not detected anymore on my computer. I have uninstalled
and re-installed the software for it and used a different cable. I know that
my USB port works because I have a cable modem connect to it. Further, I have
updated the drives from the manufacturers website. Also when the device
initially is connected to the computer it makes the usaul sound but an error
message is displayed saying that the device may not work properly. I have
followed the HELP instructions to the device manager and it has a yellow
caution sign next to the driver and when i try to trouble shoot it, it says
error10.

The other thing is that the device works fine on my friends computer which
has Windows NT, I have Windows XP service pack 2.

If anyone could help with this problem I would really appreciate.

Thanks

Open device mgr.,locate the usb controller,R.click on it,then select,update
drivers, then close out.SP1 includes updated usb drivers,if you dont manually
update the controller they dont get installed.
