Hi,
So, checked archive of newsgroup - but still there are a lot of questions -
so: is possible to bootup XPE by USB drive or not?
I use Transcend USB drive TS1GJF2A for 1GB. Transcend sends utility with
it - to make it bootable as USB-HDD - so for DOS no problems at all - boots
well. But after rewriting boot sector by bootprep and deploying a working
image on it - never boot at all - always got as: NTLDR is missing.
Also, found several interesting things - if format USB by ordinary DOS
format - boots well - but never understood USB as a drive - asking to put
path for command.com - looks like same coming with NTLDR - never see it - so
missing...(may be have to change offsets in bootsector)
Hence, really interesting - if there is anybody who suceed to boot XPE from
USB drive - really need your advice.
Best regards,
Oleg
