USB Device not recognized

I have an Olympus C-720 Digital camera, that used to work great. I plugged it into the USB port, and it said that I have an unknown device, and it does not recognize it. I have spent hours looking on the Olympus site, and on the Microsoft site, but can't seem to find a fix. Can anyone help me please? I have a lot of pics that I have to put on my cpu so I can use my camera again. Thanks Dean
 
Do you have the Camera software installed from the CD that comes with the
camera? If so, uninstall, and reinstall. Have you tried a different USB
port?
