USB CAble for Samsung E800

I have never used the USB cable before for this phone and now need to
transfer some things of the phone e.g text msgs to the disc drive on the
computer, i have plugged it in and installed the cd given with the cable but
now i'm stuck, i dont know how to start to transfer, please, please, please
help.

I have the T809. With mine, I connect my phone to the computer via USB
cable. I then click on the icon for the Samsung program and if I'm really
connected to the computer, it says it's connected. My program is fairly
simple. I use it to update the calendar on my phone and that's where I
download and upload music or pictures. The only thing with mine is I had to
install the modem and that's how my transfers are done.

Check the documentation that came with the system on how to correctly
install and use it. In many cases it requires the driver to be
installed from the CD before the device is attached. Did you install it
per the documented procedure?
