USB 2.0 problem

I've got notebook Hp nx 9005 with windows Xp home edition, with service pack 1 upgrade. I have the problem wih my USB controler, I've got external hard disk IDE wchich works in USB 2.0 standart- but after connecting hard disk with computer via usb connection, there's showing notice: you have to get driver wchich supports usb 2.0., But i've got all updates.I don't know how to fix it.Please help

Windows XP SP-1 provides the basis for USB 2.0 support. However, my
external Maxtor required additional Maxtor drivers. Have you check the web
site for your external drive to see if Windows XP drivers are
needed/available.
