You need to look at the driver that is being used.
If it is USB2 you will see usbehci.sys

To view this Go into Control Panel
Select System
Look on the Hardware tab
Select Device Manager
Find and expand Universal Serial Bus controllers
Right click and select Properties
On the Driver tab, select Driver details.

You will see either usbuhci.sys or usbehci.sys, maybe even usbohci.sys
It is USB2 if you see usbehci.sys.
There me be other files shown, ignore them.

Do this with each controller.

You may test for presence of USB 2.0 ports using a tiny little utility,
download from here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/USB2Test.vbs

and

An alternative solution (if you don't want to run unknown VBScript files
on your computer though I'd trust Kelly completely) would be to just
open your device manager, open up the USB section, and if it's USB 2.0
it will say "Enhanced" in there.
