Hello, I am a US citizen living in Germany. I have a German provider. I need
an IP address which looks like a US based IP address. Do you know how I can
set one up?

What exactly is it you're trying to accomplish? Your public IP is going to
be that of your (likely German) ISP.

Google for proxy server or anonymous IP or similar phrases.

I like listening to Pandora radio (www.pandora.com). Starting a couple of
days ago, Pandora cut off all non-US registered users. So I was trying to
find a way to make their computer think that my computer is in the USA.

You yourself on your side cannot change anything. IP addresses are
regionally assigned. It is impossible to get another IP address from
another region directly on the computer.

You must use a relay, proxy, or VPN server in the U.S. through which you
connect. Don't know if there is something for your purpose. There
probably should be but I guess it costs...

Thanks for the reply!

You could go to netfirms.com (and others if you know of them but this is a good one) and open a free web site account there. You'll get one free e-mail address with the account. Then POP your mail to/from your website: It'll have a US IP that way. I don't think it works with Yahoo or MSN, BTW; they stay local.
