Hi,

Following a return of my machine from Dell [motherboard replacement
under warranty] my machine is behaving differently although I cannot
make this corelate.

I can follow links fine whilst in IE. The problem arises when I pull
shortcuts to the desktop. The icon is now different and each time I dc
on it the 'open with ' window opens up and asks me to chose an
application. This happens for each shortcut and every time its opened
up.

I've looked into tools/folder options but there seems nothing I can do
with the HTM application. There is also apparently no way to remove IE
and reload it.

Any pointers as to where to start with this?

Thanks

Type in Start/Run:

regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll

And then:

Click Start/Run and type INETCPL.CPL
Click the Programs tab, and click "Reset Web Settings" button
Select "Yes" when prompted, and click OK to close the dialog.
