Has anyone seen the following problem and if so how did
they fix the problem ?
If I have a mailto: link in some html code that
contains 'URL Encoding' such as
<a href="mailto:roy%40mywebsite%2ecom"> roy
In that the 'dot' and 'at' symbols have been replaced
with the 'URL Encoded' versions.
When hovering over this link in IE 6 I get a nice
translation to (e-mail address removed) in the
status bar at the bottom of the page.
But when you click on the link with IE 6, it will open
the mail client and create a new email in this case
outlook 2000. In the 'To:' field you get roy%40mywebsite%
2Ecom. This is happening on some of our clients PCs but
is not happening on others, all should have been setup
the same but obviously are not.
This error is happening to PC's that have been upgraded
to IE6 but not the one's still on I.E 5.01
I can not reproduce the problem with my setup this only
happens in the clients environment!
Have you any clues to help me please
