I found a program that was installed unknowingly onto my comp called "url
diplay". When I try to remove it, add/remove programs crashes. I have the
same problem for these programs too: search aid, context display, alt win,
and ron display. How can I get rid of them?

I also installed ad-aware and sygate firewall to protect my comp. Is that
enough to keep my comp safe? Right now I am trying to clean up from a bad
parasite infection on my comp and they don't seem to be helping. How can I
keep my comp clean?

I went into safe mode and was able to delete the programs, but there is still
something on my comp that turns some words into links that take me to ads. In
safe mode I cleaned everythin up, but something is still there that's causing
probs.

Hi Sherry,

Look at what's still loading. Go to www.dougknox.com and click on WinXP
Utilities. Grab Doug's startup tracker and use it to see what is still
loading. You can create a log and send it to me via email if you are unsure
of what you are looking at. The address used here is valid, but change the
subject line to "per req" or I won't see it.
