If we have Windows '98 and want to upgrade to XP Professional can we use the the XP Professional uprade or do we need the full version?

Hello
Upgrading 98 to XP is easy and the best, I prefer the clean install, some do
not, upgrading should leave all your existing files intact, but anytime you
do a major change always backup your important files.

You can also do a full install with an upgrade version, you will need a copy
of the 98 version.(restore cd will not work)

After install enable the Firewall and visit MS Windows Update and download
the updates for your security and safety.

The upgrade version will work. You don't need the full version.

You can even do a clean installation using the upgrade version,
inserting your Windows 98 CD when it asks for proof of a previous
Windows version.
