Hello
Upgrading 98 to XP is easy and the best, I prefer the clean install, some do
not, upgrading should leave all your existing files intact, but anytime you
do a major change always backup your important files. http://michaelstevenstech.com/xpupgdissues.html
You can also do a full install with an upgrade version, you will need a copy
of the 98 version.(restore cd will not work) http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/cleanxp.htm
The upgrade version will work. You don't need the full version.
You can even do a clean installation using the upgrade version,
inserting your Windows 98 CD when it asks for proof of a previous
Windows version.
