Hello,

I recently created a slipstreamed XP Pro SP1a CD using
the SP1a administrative update. The problem is, now that
I've created it, I don't know how to update the existing
XP Pro installation on my computer. I don't want to
format the computer, so should I just boot from the CD
and run setup without formatting or run setup from the
GUI?

TIA for any replies,

Update your current XP configuration from Windows update and apply the SP1a
update and all other updates that apply to your system.
The CD you created will be usefull if you need to reinstall or do a repair
install. It will mean you will only need to apply the updates issued after
the SP1a service pack.
The only reason to use the slipstreamed CD would be to test it and then
apply the updates not included in SP1a.
