Hi! My computer had XP installed on it before I purchased
it. I don't think my computer came with a seperate XP
Home Edition disk or Recovery disk. I'm having technical
problems, so I need to perform the repair/upgrade option,
instead of re-installing. If I don't have a seperate XP
disk, how can I repair my computer? Please tell me my
options. Thank you!

Miranda;
If you do not have a CD, you probably have a hidden partition for
reinstallation purposes.
Check your manual and/or contact the manufacturer for details.
Also ask about a CD.
Some manufacturers have it so you make them yourself, others you have
to buy (usually about $25)
In any event, get the CD, you will need it sooner or later.

Thanks for your reply. I have an HP, and I tried pressing
F12 during boot to show me the repair options. Nothing
happened! Since I bought my computer from a store, who
would I call to ask about the CD? Could I just buy one
instead? If so, where would I buy one and what would I be
looking for?
