Upgrading to Xp

I am thinking of adding 2 new new machines which have Xp to an exisintg
network operating on WIn 98. Can't upgrade old computers -not enough mem/hard
drive space. Anyone had probelms having some Win XP machines and some Win 98
machines on the same network?

Not really, except that you have to be a bit more meticulous in your
network configuration with Windows XP than with Windows 98, especially
with regard to allowing access to shared resources on the Windows XP
machines.

Nice overly broad question! There ain't nothin' that has to do with
OSs, in general, and networking, more specifically, that nobody had a
problem with it.

Usually, WinXP's Networking Wizard makes it simple and painless --
almost entirely automatic, in fact. There's a lot of useful,
